Frequently Asked Questions
I started when I was 7 years old!
I study in high school, I haven’t graduated yet.
Chicken rice 🙂
Currently I have 2 pianos, one is the Yamaha Arius YDP – 141 (with this piano I make the videos), and I have the Yamaha P-125, I use that one to practice my arrangements because the other is very old and the keys don’t have a good response.
Yamaha Arius YDP – 141 allows USB connection, so I record my performance (Audio or Midi) directly into a USB drive to ensure the highest sound quality. The VSTs that I am using are The Grandeur / CFX Lite.
My videos are really simple due to budget constraints. The sound is generated by the computer, then I record the video with my phone (iPhone 8 Plus) and take a second shot with my Nikon D3200 camera … and that’s it! I hope I will be able to improve the videos and get better equipment, though. If you wish to support me, please consider making a donation!
I make my own scores! I usually listen to a song, then I prepare the piano arrangement by ear. When I’m happy with the arrangement, I write the transcription at the PC using the music theory knowledge I learnt at the music school. I write them all by myself, using a specific notation software called Sibelius. After that, the score is sent to Musicnotes.com for publishing.
I only had a piano teacher when I was 7 years old, he gave me private lessons for 2 years, and after that I learned everything on my own. I have not been to any music school because in my city there are no music schools.
Yes of course I am! Just contact me so that we can discuss all the options. I am available for functions, weddings, or any situation where my extensive repertoire can be suitable. I have my own equipment and a stage piano I can easily transport. I mostly work in Colombia but if you have other ideas, let me know.
Yes you can. Writing a score from scratch requires a lot of time, but if you provide me with an audio file / video I will be able to prepare an arrangement and a score for you. Contact me to discuss about the different options!
